"I have noticed that I am now aware of how I breathe when I am moving especially when in bed. I can also see small changes in my back and the way I hold myself. I am also enjoying the relaxed atmosphere that is in the class. Thank you for your patience and encouragement.." Lorraine, Stirling
"Thoroughly enjoying introduction to Pilates, great teacher." Karen, Grangemouth "I have enjoyed all the classes; however I'm not 100% certain I know what I am doing. Would it be possible to get a hand out with a few simple exercises I could do at home? I seem to forget what I'm doing if you're not there giving me instructions "old age! Thanks." Christine, Stirling I had the lymph nodes removed from under my arm last year, followed by chemotherapy and herceptin. Pilates helps the swelling in my arm and ankles and it really helps me relax. I have bad knees and so it's great to do an exercise lying down." Inez, Dollar (and Kirsty's mum)" "It would help and does when you show us the exercise first and then take us slowly through it - especially the breathing." Margaret, Bridge of Allan "I am really enjoying my Pilates and now find myself thinking more of my posture and breathing. You are very helpful Kirsty and good at explaining it all. I also find you very approachable. Look forward to next sessions." Margaret, Clackmannan "Keep up the good work!" Lesley, Tillicoultry

"If that is where the spaces are I would trek to the ends of the earth to get back into your pilates class!" Marina, Stirling
"I am feeling muscles in my back today that I did not know I had. Those rotation exercises really got to sticky bits in my spine. Thank you. I will have more of these please! Have a good weekend." Catherine, Cambusbarron “I went to your class last night feeling like I needed to see Physio after my holiday ( think drive airport & flight combined with strange bed ...) But I left feeling strong ... Thanks - your visual descriptors of the spine and moving it really make sense to me and visualising spiral staircase for example helps me with the movement :)” Cara, Stirling "Before I was diagnosed with breast cancer in August 2007 I never gave much thought to my body. I was healthy and watched my weight and thought that was all that was necessary. Having cancer, though I was lucky and had a minor operation and treatment, made me all too aware of how mortal I am and reinforced earlier ideas about making sure I was as healthy and fit as I could be. Doing Pilates is not only good for me physically - giving me awareness of how to gain strength and stability - but is also good for me mentally - making me slow right down, concentrate on breathing and rid my mind for a short while of everyday concerns." Hazel, Dollar
"Very good exercises/very good advice. Very pleasant instructor." Patricia, Stirling "Excellent introduction to Pilates. I like the pace - not too fast." Alison, Stirling "Can only say I am thoroughly enjoying the classes."Janice, Stirling |
