A gentle touch to help maintain health and movement

Picture
Exercise may be the last thing you feel like doing after breast cancer surgery. You're probably exhausted, your arm may be painful and swollen, and the adjuvant treatments can make you feel even worse. All you want to do is rest. Recent studies, however,  indicate that moderate physical exercise can significantly improve quality of life for breast cancer survivors.

The Pink Ribbon Program is a Pilates based rehabilitative protocol, offering strength, self-esteem and quality of life to breast cancer survivors. By performing gentle but effective exercises, which require concentration and controlled movement, you can start to mobilise and improve injured areas, reduce the risk of lymphedema, release tension and stress and regain lost confidence.

"The Pink Ribbon Program is a non-profit organisation, founded by Doreen Puglisi M.S. - an exercise physiologist and cancer survivor, who used this system of exercises in her own rehabilitation.  Although there are over 400 instructors worldwide, I have waited for over 2 years for the protocol to reach the UK. I am now delighted to be one of the first in Scotland to be trained - and by Doreen herself. Please contact me for a chat - it would be a privilege to be of help."
